It installed the first colour offset newspaper press in regional Australia in the 1960s; it was an early mover in computer typesetting, desktop publishing and computer-to-plate technologies and became the first Internet Service Provider in the Goulburn Valley in 1995. Today each of its mastheads publishes in print, online and in cutting-edge Apps for mobile and tablet, which allow users to select their information priorities, enjoy stories in audio and unique among Australian newspapers- enable users to easily create a playlist of stories and features they can listen to on the move. The Apps offer daily games and puzzles, include an e-paper version of the printed newspaper and enable sharing to family and friends. And the Apps are supported by a range of daily briefings and email newsletters, which can be listened to as well as read. The layout of our printed newspapers is fully automated so that our editors and reporters can concentrate on great, digital-first content.
